New Release: Cat In A Cozy Blue Sweater

 

The Cat In A Cozy Blue Sweater is the next design in the new Cat Tales Collection, and it's out today! I love this little design with the mouse on the sweater... it was so much fun to design and stitch! I finished it as a little pillow... it's obvious I'm not super-talented at making little decorative pillows, but it was fun.  😼

It's a rainy day here; perfect for cross stitching. I have a project I've been stitching on since last year... maybe I'll work on it a little this afternoon...

Still Stitching This Little Cat Pattern...

 

Still working on this little design. I am stitching it on 14-count aida, so it will turn out 3.79" x 3.79". I am thinking of finishing it as a little pillow. It's a fun little winter pattern with blue snowflakes... I hope the chart will be out next week... we'll see.  :-)

Looking at it, it would be cute to add some seed beads to the centers of the snowflakes and flowers on this. I'll have to see if I have any matching ones here...

No, there are no whiskers on the Cat yet...

Warm Thoughts On A Cold Day

 

It's soooo cold outside! It's been soooo cold outside for several days! It has been in the lower 20s during the day and way colder at night since Monday. I think tomorrow will be back in the 30s... still cold, but so much better. The normal high temperature right now is 45 degrees and the average low is 25 degrees. Our temperature highs aren't even reaching the average lows! (At least the days are getting longer, which is unrelated, but something to be thankful for!)

With these crazy temperatures 20+ degrees lower than average, I thought the "Cat Tales Collection" Cat needed a sweater to keep it warm... I've been working on one the past couple days. The design in the middle of the sweater is blurred for now... it's so cute! Looking forward to sharing it with you!

New Release: Except The Lord Build The House - Psalm 127:1

The Except The Lord Build The House cross stitch pattern is finally here... it is part of the Stitching Through The Psalms series, and is based on Psalm 127:1a, "Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it." This pattern has the optional instructions to include the Bible verse reference at the bottom of the design. I think it would make a good engagement or wedding gift.  💕 

The temperatures here are very cold for the area (as they are for most of the US right now), and we still have snow on the ground from two weeks ago. This is so not normal here! I'm trying to stay inside the house until this weather passes, and thinking of spring flowers... only 57 days until spring...

Henrietta In The Roses is out now... this gal was fun to design around! She's surrounded by hearts and roses, which reminds me that Valentine's Day is coming up... I hope you enjoy stitching her!

New Release: Let the Words of My Mouth - Psalm 19:14 KJV

 

Let the Words of My Mouth was released today. It is the newest addition to the Stitching Through the Psalms series.

New Release: February Cat Cross Stitch Pattern from the Cat Tales Collection

 

The February Cat pattern from the Cat Tales Collection is out now... with plenty of time to stitch before Valentine's Day!   😻

We have several Bleeding-Heart plants in the yard here, which is how they ended up in this design. They struggled the first couple of years, but ever since we moved them to the opposite side of the yard they have been doing great. We went to a botanical garden several years ago and they had a section full of Bleeding-Hearts... it wasn't long after that when we bought some for the yard.  😁

I hope you enjoy the Cat Tales Collection as much as I do... Keep an eye out for the March Cat!

New Release: Shannon's Garden Square Cross Stitch Pattern

 

The Shannon's Garden Square pattern is out today... 

This is a cheerful flower design to remind me that Spring is coming... it's 73 days away, but it's coming...

They are predicting up to a foot of snow here tonight and tomorrow. For us, that's a lot of snow! I'm sure it will be beautiful, but I'm glad I don't have to leave the house for several days!
