Holly and Pine Snowflake Christmas Cross Stitch Pattern # 1119

 

The Holly and Pine Snowflake cross stitch pattern (Pattern # 1119) is a festive design that uses whole cross stitches and a lot of back stitching. It makes a nice accompaniment to the Christmas Snowflake (Pattern # 1192). This one is a little larger, but they both combine back stitching with the whole stitches. They would also look beautiful if you want to place them together when you are decorating for Christmas, since they are stitched with the same 2 colors.

My dad has done a lot of cross stitching over the past several decades (30 years?), and last week he decided he wanted to start the Christmas Tree Alphabet Sampler (Pattern # 1182)... I can't wait to see it when it's finished. I will try and post a few progress photos along the way...

New Release: Peppermint Sweater Snowflake - Pattern # 1135

 

The Peppermint Sweater Snowflake Christmas cross stitch pattern is out!

This design gets its 'unique' name because it reminded me of a warm fuzzy sweater, and because the red stripes on it made me think of peppermint candy. Odd name? Yes, but that's okay.   😊 

This is the third snowflake pattern that's been released in the past few years. The others, especially the Christmas Snowflake (Pattern # 1192) have been very popular. This one is a little different, as it uses only whole cross stitches. The other two designs use lots (and lots, and lots) of backstitching.

New Release: A Cat and Cardinal Christmas

 

I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving holiday with your family and friends. Ours was peaceful and full of good food!

The New Release today is a Christmas design, in honor of the month of December. The "A Cat and Cardinal Christmas" is the first design in the Cat Tales Collection from Happiness Is HeartMade. My mom likes both cats and cardinals, so this was designed with her in mind. 😻

This is a festive and whimsical holiday design with a cat at its center, and a cardinal perched atop a pine branch above the cat. The decorations include a wreath around the cat’s neck, Christmas ornaments, a poinsettia, and a golden heart.

This design uses only whole cross stitching and backstitching. DMC thread color numbers are provided in the Color Key.

For Unto Us A Child Is Born Christmas Cross Stitch Pattern (Isaiah 9:6)

 

I can't believe it's already Thanksgiving week. We will be getting together with my father for the holiday, as we usually do. He is local, so we are able to spend most holidays together. We share cooking duties most years, which is nice. I hope you will also have an enjoyable and blessed Thanksgiving. ❤

And since Christmas will be here sooner than we are ready for it... 

There is a new Christmas cross stitch pattern release called For Unto Us A Child Is Born. This is the first nativity design from Happiness Is HeartMade. It is a Christmas nativity chart showing Mary, Joseph, and Jesus in a manger. It is a floral design with sheep, different colored medallion ‘stars’, birds, and the verse “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given” from Isaiah 9:6 – King James Version / KJV. This design uses only whole cross stitches.

New Release: Blue Hollyhock House Sampler

Stitch a bit of countryside tranquility with the Blue Hollyhock House Sampler cross stitch pattern. This design is an alphabet sampler stitched in shades of blue, green, brown, and cream (Pattern # 1065). A blue house is surrounded by a garden of blooming hollyhocks and other flowers, butterflies, hearts, an alphabet, and a floral border.

New Release: Autumn Crow and Pumpkin - Pattern # 1915

 

The Autumn Crow and Pumpkin pattern is the second in a series, and includes the Summer Crow and Watermelon (Pattern # 1914). The Winter and Spring designs are yet-to-come, so watch for them!

I've recently started designing more crow patterns... we have several crows that visit our yard, and they are fun to watch. They are so curious!

New Release: Call Unto Me ( Jeremiah 33:3 ) - Pattern # 3004

 

Call Unto Me is our newest Bible Verse cross stitch pattern. It is a floral and berry cross stitch design stitched in shades of pink and green, based on the Bible verse Jeremiah 33:3, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” King James Version (KJV).

Design Measurement:
6.14″w x 4.14″h on 14-count aida
5.38″w x 3.63″h on 16-count aida

This design uses 6 colors, and uses only whole stitches and backstitching. The Thread Color Key lists DMC thread colors.

Blue Hollyhock House Sampler... almost done!

I've been working on several different patterns recently (ok, lots!), and am trying to finish at least a few of them. One that is almost done is the Blue Hollyhock House Sampler. I hope it will be online before November 9th, and available for your local needlework shop to order from their distributors around that time, too!

The finished pattern stitch count is 161 w x 161 h. On 16 ct. aida fabric that is 10.06" w x 10.06" h. Here is a sneak peek into the new design...

I'm so glad to introduce my new cross stitching blog, dedicated to the beautiful art of cross stitching. Whether you are a new stitcher, or have been stitching for many years, I hope you will find interesting and useful information here.

My name is Christy, and I have been designing cross stitch patterns since 2005. I enjoy creating new designs, and already keep a list of 'future design ideas' that would take decades to complete.

In this blog, I am planning to pass along information about new and upcoming pattern releases, pattern sales, shops I visit, interesting information about cross stitching, free patterns, and anything else that seems interesting at the time of writing a post!
